FAA sees results from targeting hot-spot airports

(AIN) – After the fatal January midair collision at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (KDCA), the FAA began an analysis of hot-spot airports and other high-risk areas. So far, these early steps have produced results including reducing traffic alert and collision avoidance system reports by 30% in just three weeks in Las Vegas, Nevada, with broader safety efforts underway.
