Two US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) astronauts took part in the certification run for the NASA Artemis training course Aug. 26 over mountains in Northern Colorado.

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which applies to the EC135 P1, P2/P2+, P3, T1, T2/T2+, T3, EC635 T2+, and Airbus/MBB BK 117 C-2, D-2, and D-3, takes effect Oct. 21. It requires operators to determine the total cycles of certain hoist-boom assemblies, inspect those assemblies, and take corrective action, if necessary.

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which takes effect Oct. 21, requires operators to replace certain attachment bolts on the main-gearbox suspension bar fittings, inspect the removed bolts, and report the results to Airbus Helicopters.
