(Honolulu Star-Advertiser) – The helicopter crew assisted ground teams with rescuing an injured hiker Mar. 9 from the Kuli‘ou‘ou Ridge Trail in Oahu.

(KSNV) – According to the FAA and local police, a Robinson R44 struck a parked vehicle while the pilot was landing Mar. 9 at North Las Vegas Airport (KVGT).

(Task & Purpose) – An Alaska Army National Guard HH-60M crew pulled off a tricky two-wheeled landing on a train’s flatbed car, delivered supplies, and picked up a simulated patient during a special operations medical exercise in February.

The Sikorsky Customer Advisory Group, which includes Bristow, Flexjet, HeliOffshore, Macquarie, Omni Helicopters International, Shell, and VIH Aviation Group, will assist the Lockheed Martin company with establishing real-world requirements for the integration of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) technology into future aircraft systems.

The Lockheed Martin company has demonstrated its rotor blown wing uncrewed aerial system (UAS) in both helicopter and fixed-wing modes.

The company promoted Charles Wade to the new role in late 2024. His previous experience includes working for Collins Aerospace.

The R88, announced at the start of VERTICON 2025, is the first new helicopter model from the California-based OEM in nearly 15 years.
