Safran Helicopter Engines has agreed to supply its support-by-the-hour service for the Arrius 2R engines on the fleet of Bell 505s in operation with Reignwood Aviation Group of Beijing, China.

The Tochigi-based company has placed an order for a third Bell 505 to primarily support agricultural operations. Heli Service, which also operates a Bell 206, provides charter, aerial filming, disaster relief, and aircraft leasing in addition to agricultural services.

This European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) airworthiness directive (AD), ATA 73–Engine Fuel & Control–Electronic Engine Control Unit–Software Update and ATA 73–Engine Fuel & Control–Preference Injector–Non-Extinguishing Test/Replacement, becomes effective Nov. 1, 2024.
