VAI Daily Aug. 14, 2024 NTSB calls for certificated dispatchers, other safety solutions for Part 135 ops (AIN) – The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is calling for the FAA to require that Part 135 operations use certificated flight dispatchers. Based on safety issues the organization identified in a special investigation of 576 Part 135 accidents occurring from 2010 to 2022, the NTSB also recommends that the FAA expand the load manifest requirements to single-pilot operations, improve data collection, and mandate flight data monitoring programs.
