Reiser Simulation and Training has obtained an order for two new Level D full flight simulators from CopterSafety. The Airbus simulators will expand CopterSafety’s operations at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (EFHK) in Finland.

(SlashGear) – The commercial Airbus H225 can fly around 610 nm while the military Leonardo AW101 can cover 810 nm.

Aerosolutions and Bluenest by Globalvia have signed a letter of intent to purchase up to 50 Eve Air Mobility electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that will operate in Costa Rica. The agreement includes Eve’s TechCare services program.

The company is a finalist in the Aerial Services Business of the Year and Training and Mentorship Program of the Year categories for the 2025 Australian Aviation Awards ceremony, which takes place Aug. 29 in Sydney.

The FAA is seeking comments on this proposed airworthiness directive (AD) through Aug. 15. It would supersede AD 2024-09-02, issued May 21, 2024. The proposed AD would retain the actions of the existing AD while requiring the replacement of certain forward-float and aft-float assemblies within 24 months or during the next maintenance check.

(SWI) – According to local police, an agricultural transport helicopter turned sideways before going down on the Oberaletsch Glacier Jun. 28 near Naters, Valais, resulting in the death of a passenger and injuries to the pilot and a crew member.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has determined that the helicopter rapidly entered a low‑g condition due to turbulence and the pilot’s response to it, inducing an uncommanded right roll. Investigators also found that the asymmetric horizontal stabilizer design in the Robinson R22, R44, and R66 contributed to the right-roll rate and the risk of an in‑flight breakup.

The US National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA) Fly Safe campaign is cautioning agricultural pilots to avoid spraying pesticides above the maximum wind limit of 15 mph to help limit environmental, regulatory, and reputational risks.
