Texas publishes AAM Committee report Following the enactment last year of a Texas state bill (S.B.2144) concerning advanced air mobility (AAM) technology, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) formed a committee to evaluate existing laws and recommend changes that would support AAM in Texas. The Advanced Air Mobility Advisory Committee, which comprises state officials and industry stakeholders, including VAI, has submitted a report with its findings and recommendations to the Texas Transportation Commission and the legislature. VAI appreciates the opportunity to have served on the Advanced Air Mobility Advisory Committee and to have chaired the infrastructure subcommittee. We commend TxDOT and the State of Texas for their proactive planning in developing legislative recommendations to advance the AAM sector of the aviation industry.
