ATSB final report: Sikorsky S-92A, Western Australia, Feb. 1, 2025

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has determined that both flight crew members had limited experience on the helicopter type at night. Investigators cited an increased workload and the operator’s preflight operational risk assessment, which did not capture the risks of the crew’s limited experience on type at night, as contributing factors.

University in Singapore develops eVTOL design

(AIN) – Nanyang Technological University has revealed a design for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that could become Singapore’s first domestically produced passenger aircraft. Although certification of a full-scale aircraft isn’t expected until after 2030, flight testing of the two-thirds–scale model unveiled Feb. 3 is taking place in Singapore and Germany.
