(The Aviationist) – The new facility at Viterbo Air Force Base north of Rome is part of a reorganization of the country’s rotary-wing training system.

The FAA is requesting comments by Mar. 9 on this proposed airworthiness directive (AD), which would require replacement of certain life-raft inflation systems. It would also prohibit the installation of an affected inflation system on any helicopter.

LifeFlight Australia is reporting a new operational record for 2025, assisting a total of 8,838 patients across 3,857 helicopter missions.
