This European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) airworthiness directive (AD), ATA 52 – Doors – Sliding/Plugging Cabin Doors – Inspection/Modification, takes effect Sep. 1. It will supersede AD 2015-0167, released Aug. 12, 2015.

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which takes effect Sep. 26, requires inspecting for the presence of the retaining ring in the emergency flotation system (EFS) inflation assembly and taking corrective action, if necessary. It also prohibits the installation of an EFS with certain inflation assemblies.
