Final FAA AD: Siam Hiller UH-12E and UH-12EL

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which requires the inspection of certain main-rotor transmission driveshafts for cracks and prohibits the installation of certain driveshafts unless the inspection is done, takes effect Sep. 24. It also prohibits the use of certain paint strippers.

Proposed FAA AD: Airbus AS 332L2 and EC225 LP

The FAA is accepting comments on this proposed airworthiness directive (AD) through Oct. 3. It would supersede AD 2020-06-12. The new AD would retain the existing actions while requiring a modification of the main-gearbox suspension bar, an inspection of the torque, and corrective actions, if necessary.
