ICARUS Devices has obtained an airworthiness release from the US Army to use its smart view limiting device for pilot training on the Boeing CH-47F Chinook.

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which requires repetitive inspections and potential replacement of the inclined and horizontal driveshaft flanges, takes effect Jun. 6. The AD also prohibits installing certain inclined and horizontal driveshafts unless certain requirements are met, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency AD.
