The Flight Safety Foundation (FSF) and Basic Aviation Risk Standard (BARS) Program Office have released a summary of accidents in the onshore sector for the first quarter of this year.

The new Executive Committee leadership team for the VAI Board of Directors will serve one-year terms starting Jul. 1, 2025.

The General Aviation (GA) and Part 135 Activity Survey, which is now available for owners and operators of individual aircraft only, measures safety, determines funding, and informs the impact of aviation on the US economy. The FAA plans to open the survey for operators of multiple aircraft later this month.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has determined the probable cause of the accident to be a loss of engine power. Investigators could not identify the reason for the engine failure.
