Rotortrade adds to sales team for India, surrounding areas Rotortrade is pleased to announce the appointment of Vijay Sharma, who has joined the team to oversee our operations in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Based in Bangalore, Sharma brings over 20 years of invaluable experience in the aerospace industry, significantly strengthening Rotortrade’s presence in the region. Sharma, originally from Madhya Pradesh in central India, holds an Aerospace MBA from the prestigious Toulouse Business School. His impressive career includes five years managing EU-India civil aviation projects and serving as sales manager for Airbus Helicopters in India, where he contributed extensively to the development of the helicopter industry. His expertise extends to leasing ATRs in India through Elix Aviation Dublin, as well as selling composites for Airbus and Boeing programs, working closely with Indian defense companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Returning to his passion for helicopter sales, his experience and knowledge make him an ideal fit for the burgeoning helicopter industry in the Indian subcontinent, where the sector has seen rapid development in recent years. “We are thrilled to have Vijay join our APAC/MEA team,” said Aurelien Blanc, Rotortrade executive director & head of region APAC & MEA. “His expertise, enthusiasm, and deep connections in the industry will be invaluable as we continue to expand our footprint in this dynamic market.”
