President and CEO James Viola issued the following statement in response to the Jan. 29 midair collision of a US Army UH-60 Black Hawk and an American Airlines CRJ-701 near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (KDCA): “On behalf of VAI, I express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones affected by the tragic collision. We stand with the emergency responders and all involved in the ongoing efforts.
