Skyports, Linden to upgrade Florida heliport for eVTOL aircraft

Skyports Infrastructure and Linden Airport Services Corp. have agreed to update Watson Island Heliport, which is near Miami International Airport (KMIA), to include landing areas for both helicopters and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

Proposed FAA AD: Airbus Helicopters AS350B series, EC130 B4, and EC130 T2

The FAA is accepting comments through Feb. 23 on this proposed airworthiness directive (AD). It would supersede AD 2022-11-08, issued Jun. 3, 2022. The proposed AD would require revising the airworthiness limitations section of the existing maintenance manual or instructions for continued airworthiness, as well as the existing approved maintenance or inspection program.

CAE delivers air taxi simulator to Joby Aviation
