(9News.com/au) – A helicopter crew airlifted six people, including a 2-month-old baby, from a tractor that got stuck in a flooded river Sep. 7 near Ikamatua, South Island.

The FAA has issued a correction to its April 2024 final rule that incorporates certain airman certification standards (ACSs) and practical test standards into the certification requirements for pilots, flight instructors, flight engineers, aircraft dispatchers, and parachute riggers. The final rule incorrectly included duplicative requirements in certain areas.

(Bonner County Daily Bee) – The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office dispatched a helicopter crew Sep. 3 to help locate a hiker and a dog that had not returned from a walk near the Fourth of July mountain pass in northern Idaho.

The FAA is seeking comments through Oct. 9 for this information collection, which involves the requirement for helicopter air ambulance operators to report certain information to the agency.
