Proposed FAA AD: Safran Helicopter Engines Arrius 2B2

The FAA is seeking comments by Apr. 11, 2025, on its proposal to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) that would require initial and repetitive non-extinguishing tests for engine flameout and replacement of the preference injector, if necessary. It would also mandate a one-time software upgrade of the electronic engine control unit and, for certain engines, repetitive replacement of the preference injector.
