ATSB report: Eurocopter EC120B, Porepunkah, Victoria, May 15, 2025

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has determined that almost immediately after lifting off, the pilot was unable to counter the helicopter’s left yaw, which resulted in a dynamic rollover. Investigators also noted that limited recent flying experience in the EC120 degraded the pilot’s ability to manage the controls effectively.
