The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau has added unmanned aircraft systems and critical components produced in countries outside the United States to its covered list.

Under a partnership with the Special Integrated Logistics Zone Co., Rotortrade will develop a maintenance, sales, and services facility in Riyadh with plans to open in late 2026.

The company also conducted automated pickup, hover, and set down procedures using the SkyOS operating system on a Sikorsky Black Hawk.

The manufacturer has started testing the prototype AE 1107F that will power the US Army’s Bell MV-75 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft at its facility in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The inaugural VAI Southeast Asia Aviation Safety Conference will bring together operators, regulators, manufacturers, and other aviation safety professionals from across the region to strengthen collaboration and share best practices. The conference takes place May 27–29, 2026, in Sanur, Bali, Indonesia.

The association submitted letters of support for applications from at least 10 US states for the FAA’s Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Integration Pilot Program.
