NTSB chair: Defense bill could undermine air safety gains

Final FAA AD: Bell Textron Canada Bell 427

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which takes effect Jan. 16, 2026, requires inspecting and measuring certain check valves and removing from service any check valves with leaks or cracks. The AD also prohibits installation of any affected check valve on any helicopter.
