Final FAA AD: Airbus Helicopters Deutschland/MBB BK 117 C-2 and D-2

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which takes effect Jun. 17, requires modifying and re-identifying an affected part-numbered standard MS18027 type hook or replacing it with a serviceable part. The AD also prohibits installation of an affected part on any helicopter without first meeting certain requirements.

USDOE awards grant to ERAU professor for electric aircraft research

Final FAA AD: Leonardo A109E helicopters

This FAA airworthiness directive (AD), which takes effect Jun. 17, continues to require repetitive inspections of the intersection of the lateral pylon and floor spar at station 1815 for cracking as detailed in AD 2021-23-04 while adding more helicopter models to the applicability. The updated AD also requires modification of the affected area, which constitutes terminating action for the repetitive inspections.
